Can you figure out the phone number?

Solution to the Problem:

The required telephone number is 01.876-8000.
The actual phone number belongs to McKinsey & Company, a top management consultancy firm
that posted the advertisement.
Here is their address:
McKinsey & Company Switzerland
Alpenstrasse 3
8065 Zurich
phone: +41 44 876 8000
01.876.8000 is the phone-number for local calls

Using the periods to be separators and the last "x" to mean times,
you get 01.((30*30)-24).((30*30)-(10*10))*10
01.(900-24).(900-100)*10
01.(876).800*10
01.876-8000

Several other ideas were sent in but they didn't result in real phone numbers:

Using the periods to be the separators between the 1 and the area code and the phone number,
you would get 01.(900-24).(900-100)2410, or 1.876.8002410.

Using the periods to mean multiplication,
It is given that x=24 and y=30, and so:
01.(y2 - x). (y2 - 102)x10
= 01.(30^2 - 24).(30^2 - 10^2)2410
= (1)*(876)*(8002410)
= 7010111160
