Age Problem
Bob makes the following statement,
"In 15 years, I will be three times as old as I was 9 years ago."
How old is Bob now?
Solution to the Problem:
Bob is 21 years old now.
Let x = Bob's age now.
Then x + 15 = 3 (x - 9).
So, x + 15 = 3x - 27.
So, 2x = 42.
Therefore, x = 21.
