All of these activities involve a calculator.   In two of these activities (#2 and #3), you are asked to do calculations and then turn the calculator upside down to read a message or word.   Most of the scientific calculators do not give a good read out.   The number 4 when turned upside down is supposed to give you a lower case h, but it is difficult to read on a scientific calculator (likewise, the 8 when turned upside down is supposed to be an upper case B).
