Grade Level: 11 - 12, College

Materials: One set of worksheets for each student

Objective: The student will be able to solve problems involving maximums and minimums.

Discussion: Topics include relative maximum and minimum, absolute maximum and minimum, points of inflection, critical points, and normals and tangents to a curve.

Students must first solve the nineteen max/min problems in the puzzle. Then they must determine the possible seating arrangement using logic.
