The members of Mr. P's games group are going to share the cost of some pizzas.

The original cost was $6 a person, but at the last minute five members canceled, so the cost went up to $8 a person for the same total cost (the pizzas had already been ordered).

How many games group members were originally going to split the pizzas?

Then 6x = 8 (x - 5)
40 = 2x
