Another Circle Problem

Determine the length of the radius in circle P below:

Solution to the Problem:

The radius is 75/8 units or 9.375 units

In the diagram below, use the Pythagorean Theorem to solve for r:

r² = 9² + (12-r)²
r² = 81 + 144 -24r + r²
24r = 225
r = 75/8
