Your age by eating out!
An Explanation

1) Let x = the number of times you eat out.

(2) Multiplying by 2 gives you 2x.

(3) Adding 5 gives you 2x + 5

(4) Multiplying by 50 gives you
50 (2x + 5) or 100x + 250 (Distributive property)

(5) When you add the next number (either 1757 or 1756), you will get either 100x + 2007 or 100x + 2006.

(6) When you subtract your birth year, you will get either 100x + (2007 - birth year) or 100x + (2006 - birth year) depending on whether you have had your birthday.

But the quantity in the parenthesis will be your age, so the expression really is equal to 100x + age

(7) The trick is the 100x -- the 100 merely shoves the value of x over two places. So the number of times you eat out (x) is in the hundreds place, and the value of your age is displayed in the ones and tens digits. For example, if you eat out 8 times a week and you are 61 years old... the expression 100x + age = 100(8) + 61 = 861.
